TIBETAN HEAD MASSAGE

This has been performed for some 6000 years in Tibet. India and China, but has only very recently arrived in the West and is still an unusual and strange experience.

The massage takes approximately three-quarters to one hour, with you lying on the massage couch. It involves the stimulation of various Marma points on the head, face and neck. These are secret, vital energy points creating an energy vortex and tend to be where nerves, blood vessels or lymph nodes are. The massaging of these points results in encouraging hydration, increasing the collection and elimination of waste, stimulating the brain and other organs e.g. liver, kidneys etc., easing muscular tension so relieving the associated pain, improving circulation, balancing the mind and body.

The massage is in three parts: -

Vatta:

slow and gentle to relax mind and body.

Pitta:

using the Marma points associated with the body's organs and systems for their therapeutic effects.

Kapha:

using deeper movements in order to awaken and stimulate.

Result - a calm, refreshed, re-energised and stimulated new you!
